FOTEINI PALPANA

Foteini Palpana (Athens, 1984) is a visual artist and educator based in Athens. A graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and the University of Athens (English Language and Literature), she holds a postgraduate degree in Fine Arts from the ASFA, with a scholarship by the Onassis Foundation. She was a participant in the 1st Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artists Support Program – ARTWORKS, 2018-2019.

Palpana has held solo exhibitions, such as View of Us, curated by Dimitris Foutris (Ileana Tounta Contemporary Art Centre, Athens, 2023), and Estimated Break, curated by Natasa Biza (Archaeological Museum of Paros, 2021). Her work has been featured in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, including Ammophila Vol. 4 Hopes and Promises (Elafonisos, 2023), Open-ended (Zoumboulakis Gallery, Athens, 2022), The Machine in the Ghost (Talc Studio, Athens, 2022), Systems, Organisms, Symbiosis (EIGHT, Athens, 2021), The Symptom Project #10 (Amfissa, 2019), Still Here Tomorrow (Stavros Niarchos Foundation,Athens, 2019), Overseas (American College Art Gallery (Athens, 2016), Month of Performance Art Berlin,2013. She has participated in residency programs (Ios Art Residency, 2022, Skaftfell Center for Visual Art, Seyðisfjörður, 2015, Institut für Alles Mögliche, Berlin, 2013) and artistic collaborations (founding member of Campus Novel group, 2011-2020), as well as in organising and curating art exhibitions and workshops (Athens Biennale, SNEHTA Residency, Platforms Project, Institute of Syros, etc.)
